The idea behind the Paleo Diet is that we were much more mobile in the past and not as trapped in the now. Animals were bigger, lived longer and did much more damage to the environment than we do today. Animals, like mammoths, killed off the forests of the world and polluted our air with their waste.

The Paleo Diet focuses on eating less animal fat and more plants. Animals were not very good at converting the plants they consumed into energy so the dieter eats much more of plants for energy.

The reason for less fat intake is that animal foods contain more calories than plant foods. The important thing is to eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and limit the amount of fat on the body.

Most plants are not very rich sources of fat. It is therefore important to add fat to the diet as little as possible. Carbs are the main source of calories.

To add the fat to the diet, one can eat vegetables rich in fat. However, it is not recommended to eat butter, oils, full-fat cheese and other highly processed vegetable products. If you must consume them, limit yourself to one or two times a week.

As mentioned above, meat should be eaten in small quantities and the fats from it are not very valuable to the dieter. High-fat dairy products are fine but butter and other buttery products should be avoided. Whole eggs, cheese and cream are also not recommended.

Oatmeal and potatoes should be eaten in moderation because carbohydrates are converted to sugar during the digestive process. These foods should be consumed sparingly, which should be done with moderation.

In the Paleo Diet, the Paleo Diet and the Atkins Diet, the main goal is to reduce the carbs. There are low-carbohydrate diet plans, however the Paleo Diet gets a great deal of its success from consuming fewer carbs.

Since so many people are currently looking for a way to lose weight, many foods that are high in carbohydrates are not as popular as they once were. The Paleo Diet has enjoyed a lot of success because of this. There are other diets that focus on low-carbohydrate diets, but the Paleo Diet has a unique place in the food industry.
